Ingredients for 800 g of meat:
200 g yogurt, unsweetened (I use Greek)
3 cloves of garlic chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons coriander powder
2 teaspoons of cumin powder
2 teaspoons of paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
1 1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 1/2 tbsp tomato paste
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
Mix the marinade in a large bowl. Add the meat and mix it properly, the meat is coated all around with the marinade.
Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, 24 hours is even better. If it only marinated for 3 hours, add an additional 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
This marinade recipe is great for chicken, beef, pork and turkey, it has a totally unmistakable taste.
